She/Her

I never really paid much attention to insects before—I loved mammals and wanted to work in nature conservation somewhere abroad. But while studying ecology, I began to develop a passion for these tiny creatures. During my master’s program, I really dove deep into the world of insects, worked in the insect collection at the natural history museum, and started my Ph.D. to learn more about moths. And what can I say? It’s addictive!

I love photographing nearly everything. When I started my Ph.D., I began documenting it on social media. This led me to share my photos and my knowledge about the world of insects. I started an insect podcast to help others dive into the world of insects, and I began leading insect field trips in nature to show people just how fascinating insects are. Because the truth is: without insects, we’d be lost.
