He/Him

I first began pursuing entomology in my final year of my undergraduate degree, where my final year project was a study of parasitoid wasp choice in aphid host. From there, my masters degree was in modelling ant behaviour, and my PhD was a study of the distributions of over 1,500 species of invertebrates in Great Britain. My interest in entomology has combined with my love of art, and I have used this to design games such as Pond Dipping, a game about freshwater animals, and am currently working on a tabletop roleplaying game in which players play as insects and spiders. I am fascinated by the ways that humans percieve and depict insects in art, and how this cultural landscape interacts with the biological landscape.

I hope to continue to explore my twin interests in human-environment interaction, and cultural depictions of insects – but finding work in entomology can be a challenge at times!
