He/Him

For my PhD, I have been studying the application of molecular methods, primarily DNA metabarcoding, for monitoring invertebrates in agricultural landscapes. That includes spending equal time doing fieldwork, lab work, analysing data, and writing papers. I have very broad entomological interests because insects are just so cool and diverse – there is always something new to learn that changes my world view! I love a bug hunt, searching high and low for insects wherever I go.
I am a first gen university student, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and a trans ally. Outside of entomology, I like to swim, read queer literature, and listen to live music – catch me supporting the pop girlies at a venue near you.
