I am a self-proclaimed entomologist in training, and will always be so (entomology is a large field of study, after all). I am also a mature student (in age) at the University of Derby, studying zoology. My interests include museum collections, invertebrate neuroscience, and Coleoptera. I am also increasingly drawn to the ethics of entomology and science as a whole. Having started my academic journey later in life (I’m a little past 25 – how far you can guess), I would say age is never a barrier to pursuing your own interests within entomology. Our stories are all so very different, and exciting.
