I hold an MSc in Public Health Entomology, which has provided me with a strong foundation in vector biology, disease transmission, surveillance and integrated vector management. My academic training, combined with more than nine years of professional experience in government public health programmes, has shaped my interest in applying scientific evidence to practical public health challenges. I am particularly passionate about public health entomology, vector-borne disease prevention, health security and strengthening surveillance systems, especially in settings involving international travel and population mobility. I enjoy learning about emerging public health threats, translating technical knowledge into practical solutions, and contributing to field investigations, operational research and capacity building.

Outside my professional work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, particularly destinations with historical, cultural and natural significance. Travel gives me an opportunity to understand different communities, environments and approaches to public health. I also enjoy photography and documenting places and experiences, as well as spending quality time with family. Reading about science, public health, technology and current developments is another area of interest. I value continuous learning and often use my personal time to develop new skills and broaden my understanding of subjects beyond my immediate professional field. These interests help me maintain curiosity, perspective and a balanced approach to both professional and personal life.
