My research background is in entomology, with a primary focus on integrated pest management (IPM), insect ecology, and sustainable pest management. I completed my MSc in Entomology at Sylhet Agricultural University, where my thesis examined farmers’ perceptions and adoption of IPM practices for country bean production. This work strengthened my experience in field-based research, farmer surveys, data collection, and statistical analysis.

Professionally, I worked as a Research Associate and Consultant with the Feed the Future Bangladesh Integrated Pest Management Activity, implemented by Virginia Tech. My research experience included insect pest monitoring, field experimentation, pheromone deployment, farmer training, and evaluation of environmentally sustainable pest-management approaches. I also contributed to research on pheromone-mediated mating disruption of the brinjal shoot and fruit borer, which resulted in a peer-reviewed publication. In addition, my research interests and experience include honey bee pollination services and Black Soldier Fly rearing and production systems.
