I am an accidentally entomologist, in that I have never academically studied although if I could I have a do over I would LOVE to!
Instead I’m a gardener, and an allotment grower who just observes and with that I’ve more bug that I ever knew existed and then I research what they are, what they do (isn’t it amazing how much the little guys do for the whole ecosystem!?) how to provide a better more appealing environment. This calm observation has led me into a bit of an obsession with wanting to attract more, see more and learn more.
The highlight of my growing season this year is not anything I’ve grown but a quite moment where I got to see a blood bee resting on a blade of grass besides me (while also hosting two oil beetle larvae).
